Liked this book very much. It is very easy to read and understand. I recommend this book for couples that are now starting to date, as it has love poems to give to your love one.
First off, let me start by saying that I usually read Paranormal, Mysteries, YA Fiction, etc. Poetry isn't necessary a genre in which I have gotten into. I'm a pretty straight forward person and to me, poetry can sometimes come across as fluffy. However, I do know that many people absolutely adore poetry so I'm certainly not knocking this very powerful form of writing emotions. (My husband for one loves poetry and he used to write me little love poems which I thought were on the cheesy side, but still it was sweet. I still to this day carry around the first poem he gave to me back when I was sixteen.) I hate to say that one of the downfalls of poetry for me can be the fact that it makes me think outside the box a little more than you would have to if you are reading a straight forward novel. I admire though, the people who do think outside the box and who can really grasp all that there is to get from poetry. I especially admire those who not only read it, but can write it too... like Nadina Boun.
Okay so now that I laid forth the fact that I'm certainly not an expert in poetry nor can I even consider myself more than an amateur, I have to say that I actually enjoyed reading Nadina Boun's poetry collection The Four Letters of Love. (Yes, I admit when I saw the review request, I wasn't jumping over my counter parts, Courtney and Annie to get to a poetry book, but I'm glad in the end that I did grab this straw.)
Nadina Boun's poetry collection, The Four Letters of Love consists of several unique and different poems that reflect on love in its many different forms. Some of my favorites from this collection where You and I, A prisoner's letters to his beloved, Perfection in contradiction and Prayer. Prayer was my favorite as it reflected on God's love and the love for God which really touches that `awe' place in my heart. I was excited to see this form of love included in Boun's collection.
Here are a few of my favorite quotes from The Four Letters of Love

Love is a hunger without which humanity burns."
"We can hide our feelings, deny them, fear them, reject or suppress them, but we cannot change them."
So, like I said, I am no expert in poetry, nor do I consume poetry on a consistent basis or plan to do so in the future, but even so I did enjoy this collection. I also enjoyed the fact that Nadina Boun didn't reflect on love as a tragedy or a torment in her poems but more so as a gift and a delight. I hope all of the other poetry lovers out there get a chance to read some of these beautiful poems in the future.
